WELCOME BIKERS,

BIENVENIDOS BIKERS

After five years of rides through many of the most beutiful roads of Spain, I would like to share with all of you the good experiences, images and kwnoledges I have kept along the road.

When I ride with my Harley, I don´t have other aim than enjoy of the many amazing feelings and sensations than only can be felt when you are riding on a Harley, so difficult to explain with words but so easy to understand for everyone who has it for something else than to polish to a shine on Sunday mornings. So, don´t look for tourist information, but a selection of the most significant ruotes I have done, for the beauty of the lansdcapes and the outstanding traces of the roads.

You will find the routes in the menu "Previous Routes". In each one, you will find a detailed description of the route, pointing the wavy parts with an " S " followed by different graduations (*,**,***,***+), and with a " <: " followed by the same graduation the roads with nice sceneries. On the other side, the roads with a deficient surface will be marked with the sign " ! " (!,!!,!!!). Anyway, all of them are affordable and, probably, of considerable beauty.

" (!,!!,!!!). No obstante, serán tramos perfectamente transitables y, probablemente, de gran belleza.

Furthermore, you will find assorted information about our world, curiosities and, over all, I hope you leave any comment you wish in every route, and I will thank any good route you can recommend. I will do my best to ride them some day!

Greetings to you all, I will be waiting for your comments. See you on the road!

This route completes the area located to the north of Soria, and to the south of Logroño. It has a variety of landscapes, very fun to ride in stretches with a very good asphalt, complicated in some other, and with an indisputable beauty in a wide part of it. With few places to fill in, tanks or stomaches, due to the calmness of this depopulated land.

The ruote starts in fact in the road to the reservoir of Cuerda del Pozo, a great snack of what we are going to meet today: a road in good conditions, a lot of curves and beatiful views.

Camino de la Laguna Negra
On the road to Laguna negra

To reach the Black Lagoon you need to drive by a narrow road which is usually with traffic jam, buses included. It finally takes to a parking area where all the vehicles have to be left, before start walking for about 2 kms. to finally arrive to the Lagoon. In my case, I decided not to get off my harley, and spend the following hour doing kilometres instead of walking by a tourist road. It will be the next time!

Going on our way, we will continue through a wide forest which will guide us to the top of the pass of Santa Inés, from where we will contemplate excelent views of the mountains around us. If the climb is fun, with wavy stretches in great conditions, the descent will be even better, althoug the ground worsens.

Once passed Montenegro de Cameros we will take a small road to the left, which is going to climb a hill. The asphalt is not so good but the sights are nice. When we reach the top starts a beautiful ride with a short but intense stretch in perfect conditions and some curves of 180º. The beauty of this road reach its peak in the narrow gorge passed Viniegra de Arriba, where we drive surrounded by sharp rocks following the path of river Urbión. But it is very dangerous at the same time: one small strecth of asphalt is followed by another of gravel. We have to drive very carefully in first gear, but it worths the effort, in any case.

Finished this gorge, the route changes completely. When turning left by the road BU825, we will drive by a road in very good conditions which goes along the border of Mansilla Reservoir, soft curves and the water almost to our feet, something special.

We continue going on by the Demanda Mountains and, after a not so good stretch we will take the road that, passing by Pineda de la Sierra, goes through the middle of the mountain region where we will have great moments again: good asphalt, fun curves and great sights.

Embalse de Uzquiza

Uzquiza Reservoir

Once we leave behind the beautiful stretch along the Uzquiza reservoir, we turn right on our way to Ezcaray. The road, except the last pass before reaching Ezcaray -which is closed due to road works but opened with careful for intrepid riders- is in perfect conditions and has a fun trace.

Ezcaray

If you arrive to Ezcaray with some time -and courage- before the end of the day you can go up to the sky resort of Valdezcaray, and even take the road to the Cruz de la Demanda peak, really nice. I had to come back before reaching there, but I will be back!

Ezcaray is a nice town, with a clear tuoristic soul due to the sky resort, where we will rest in some courious hotel, go for a pleasant walk by its streets, and have a good dinner to a reasonable price. Have a look at the sections "Rider´s Rest" and "Let´s fill the tank".
